For boarding or breeding facilities who choose to fill and hang nets individually, HayPal has developed some tools to reduce the ‘hay net hassle’.
There are three hay net filling station options: weighed, freestanding and wall-mounted. Our Weigh Pal is both a hay net filler and an accurate system of weighing hay.
Using a scale to weigh hay is the way to go if you have concerns about your horse’s intake of hay. The Weigh Pal is perfect for horses with laminitic changes, insulin resistance and weight issues. It is also perfect for the horse owner, or boarding facility owner, who see it as a tool for best feeding practices.
Designed originally to care for horses requiring restricted intake of hay, the Weigh Pal provides accurate weight-based feeding in an all-in-one hay net loading system. With the Weigh Pal, there is no questioning how much a flake weighs, because the digital scale tells you exactly what you are feeding.
Perfect for vet clinics, boarding facilities using multiple hay nets, and able to accommodate a variety of hay nets and hay bags, the digital scale system provides accuracy for record-keeping, reduces hay cost, and reduces the stress associated to feeding, ie: one flake of hay can weigh 2 pounds or 6 pounds. Feeding by weight is a far more accurate method of ensuring your horses get the forage they need.

Do you fill a lot of hay nets every day? This purpose-built hay net holder will seriously improve your workflow. Our hay nets very easily fit around the top rail of the 3-sided unit. Hay is dropped into the open net. The hay net is taken off the rail in one fell swoop and brought out through the open ‘fourth’ side.
Built for our friend Lloyd, who feeds horses at a local 25+ horse dressage barn, the HayPal freestanding hay net filler has greatly reduced the amount of time it takes to fill each net. The unit is solid and reliable. Please note that not all hay nets have the same circumference around the open end. The perimeter of this unit fits most standard hay nets we’ve tried.
It is shipped to you in a flat package and requires the installation of two screws (provided).

The mounted fold-away anodized aluminum hay net holder/filler/loader comes with premium stainless steel hinges. The unit very simply screws into a solid wall. When it is in use, the hay net holder drops open and sits at 90 degrees, ready for you to wrap the edges of a hay net around it to load your hay.
