HayPal Hay Nets & Feeders builds slow feeders to simplify the work of filling hay nets. In the video above, we filled four hay net feeders in 40 seconds. HayPal’s custom-made slow feed flat bottom hay nets eliminate any metal near your horse’s mouth, and improve access to the hay as well as airflow (reduces mildew, etc). HayPal nets are knotless, 100% polyester, and 50% thicker than our original netting. Available in both 1” hole-size and 1.5” hole-size nets, in pre-cut or custom lengths.

Our popular Universal Slow Feeder can be used two ways: mounted to a wood fence and used as a through-fence feeder, or mounted to a stall or shelter wall and used as a drop-open style feeder!
Fence & Wall Feeder
If your fencing is shorter, consider using the Fence Top Feeder. This was designed for a 4’ fence, but also works on taller fencing. It is easy to load with a pitch fork full of loose hay or flakes of hay.
Maybe you prefer to feed inside a stall? HayPal’s wall-mounted feeders include the Drop Down Feeder, which holds itself open at 90 degrees while you drop in the hay with one hand.
The HayBox Auto Feeder drops a single feed of hay into a slow-feed hay net at any time of day or night. The HayBox is offered both as a solar-powered (with battery back-up) and battery-powered only. They HayBox rear-load sits on a fence and is loaded from outside of the paddock. The front-load is mounted to a wall and is loaded from inside the stall or shelter.

What is slow-feeding and why is there so much chat about it?
The term ‘slow feeding’ generally refers to slowing down a horse’s intake of hay, usually involving the use of a hay net. Hay placed into a hay net and given to a horse at mealtime lengthens the amount of time a horse spends eating their forage.
