Portable Fence Feeder

from $164.95

Here’s how this slow feeder works: Pop the Fence Feeder onto your fence. Secure the mounting hooks to the bottom rail of the fence. Whenever you feed your horse (whether that’s 1, 2, 3 or more times per day), approach the feeder at a slow walk, and push flakes of hay into the feeder as you continue on by. That’s it. We are being a little cheeky, but this is literally how you use the feeder. Check out our friend, Dustin, from El Centro Equine, feeding one of his crew in the video below.

The portable edition of our Fence Feeder sits on the top rail of a wide variety of fences: lumber rails, metal panel rails or gates, and can be custom fit for larger 3.5” round wood rails. Please advise the size of fence you wish to use the portable feeder on during the checkout process.

Why choose a portable feeder for your fence? Because it is so easy to move to a drier spot on the fence when muddy conditions arrive. And because the footing in one location might need a rest from daily use.

We recommend using the larger Day Net (3-6 flakes) where possible. If your fence is shorter, the Full Feed Net (2-4 flakes) will work. Please note that if you use your own hay net, they must be minimum 1” hole-size to fit around the feeder, and at least 76” perimeter.
