Lift and push the feeder closed until it snaps into the Easy Latch. The Easy Latch is a simple yet robust, horse-resistant latch system that can very simply be released by a human only. The HayPal Drop Down Feeder comes with either the Full Feed or Day Net size of hay nets. The Full Feed net handles 2-4 flakes of hay, while the Day Net handles a day’s worth of hay, 3-6+ flakes. Some customers drop 40 pound compressed bales into these feeders, strapping and all.

You must make sure to mount the feeder to a solid wood surface (a stud or 1.5”+ lumber). If you do not have a solid surface (for example, if you are mounting to plywood), please purchase and use our wall anchor kit. We do not recommend installation onto 1/2” plywood.
