The HayPal Easy Latch is spring-loaded and pretty much guaranteed to keep your horse from opening their hay feeder. The top bar of the HayPal feeder is pushed into the Easy Latch and a spring secures the latch closed. The feeder cannot be opened without human assistance.
To open the Easy Latch … push the lever TOWARD the wall to free up the feeder frame and pull it out of the latch. Or, use the thumb-tab to PULL up and open the latch.
These latches are made of robust aluminum. Please note that latches must be screwed into a surface with proper backing (solid wood or stud). Purchase wall anchors if you do not have a solid backing surface.
