The HayBox Solar-Powered Auto Feeder

from $895.00

Feed any time of day or night…

Introducing an auto feeder that will improve the quality of life for both you and your horses & animals.

The HayBox is a single-serve feeder that automatically drops hay at any time of day that you choose. The hay drops into a hay net, or if you prefer, you can use the HayBox without a hay net and drop hay directly onto the ground or into a bin on the ground.

Turn 2 feeds into 4! Here’s how we use it to simplify feeding at our barn. We feed breakfast, and fill the HayBox to deliver lunch at 11am. When we come to feed dinner in the late afternoon, we fill the HayBox to deliver a 10pm feed. The HayBox can be programmed for multiple feedings.

This auto feeder was designed with several scenarios in mind: a) my horse is at home but I work in town and would really like to do a midday feed, b) my horse had laminitis (or is insulin resistant) and needs a late night feed to keep their gut working, c) I run a boarding facility and only want staff to feed twice a day but with the HayBox, I can turn those 2 feeds into 4 feeds with no extra staffing costs.

Tested in Canada to -20 degrees Celsius, the HayBox is solar-powered and can also be plugged into an electrical outlet. Important note: to operate as a solar-powered unit, the feeder must be located in direct sunlight. In our test scenarios, we have had success with as little as 2-3 hours of direct sunlight. Please ensure that you have the correct spot for this unit, or, that you have power available to plug it in.

We are currently taking orders for this product. Please email us PRIOR to purchasing to find out details.

The HayBox is approximately 23”wide x 13”deep × 16”tall, and is available with or without a built-in hay net.

with 60” hay net: CDN $960.95
