The Portable Drop Down Feeder is our ‘Horse Show Feeder’. This product is designed to fit the portable stalls with horizontal bars found at many horse show venues. Because the rails on these stalls are too narrow for a through-fence style feeder, we have adapted our one-handed drop down feeder into a portable edition that can fit on a wide variety of horizontal rails. Just open up the feeder with one hand, drop the hay in with your other, and close it up. Our Easy Latch is horse-resistant.
We had our friends who frequent horse shows in mind when we created this feeder. Instead of changing up your horse’s feeding program, just pop it off of your fence, and take their regular feeder with you. The portable drop down feeder was successfully tested at Thermal.
The Portable Drop Down Feeder is available with or without our hay nets. When you purchase a net, we send the feeder to you with the net pre-mounted. If you choose to use your own hay nets, please note that the ‘mesh’ (hole) must be minimum 1” to fit around the feeder.
