Fence Top Feeder-Mounted
The Fence Top Feeder sits above the top rail of the fence and makes loading hay a bit like playing hoops. Easily toss multiple flakes of hay into the always-open hay chute or use a pitch fork to throw loose hay into the feeder. This feeder works well with shorter fences (48”), but it also great on full height (60”) fences. The unit comes with or without a large Day-sized hay net (3-6 flakes easily fit; the net is approximately 60” end to end). Please note that hay nets must be minimum 1” hole-size to fit around the feeder, minimum 76” perimeter.
Fence Top Feeder comes in two options: MOUNTED or PORTABLE.
MOUNTED Fence Top Feeder: CAD $169.95
The mounted Fence Top Feeder is affixed to your wood rail fence and requires a screwdriver to move it to another location. Originally designed to keep hay higher above the ground for lower height fences (4’ fences), this feeder has become a barn favourite because it can host a longer hay net and therefore longer period of time slow-feeding your horse. The mounted Fence Top Feeder is good for horses that live in fairly permanent, dry paddocks and corrals. If you tend to move the feeder as the ground deteriorates, you may prefer the portable edition.
FENCE RAIL CHECK: Please advise us ahead of purchase if your fence rails are non-standard (for example, 2”x6” lumber rails are considered ‘standard’. If you have 3.5” diameter round rails, or metal panel fencing, please advise us so that we can send the correct size of side rails and mounting hooks).
MOUNTED Fence Top Feeder with Day Net (60”): CAD $169.95
MOUNTED Fence Top Feeder (no net): CAD $114.95
