The Universal Fence & Wall Slow Feeder operates as a through-fence feeder when mounted onto a wood fence (just push hay into the feeder) or as a drop-open door style feeder when mounted to a solid wood wall. Just undo the latch, open up the feeder and drop in your hay.
The Universal Slow Feeder eliminates the hassle of loading, tying and hanging up hay nets 2+ times per day. The hay chute is 22”x14” wide, several inches taller and wider than an average hay flake.
To use the feeder as a wall feeder, we recommend using either the Day Net (3-5+ flakes) or the Full Feed Net (2-4 flakes).
To use the feeder as a through-fence feeder straddling the upper two rails of your fence, we recommend the Full Feed Net (2-4 flakes). If you have a taller fence and a fairly mellow horse, the Day Net is a more generous size feed, and will do a better job at keeping the hay on the horse-side of the fence. But it’s important to keep hay nets minimum 6” off the ground. Net length can be easily adjusted by re-stringing the net around the frame to your desired length.
Universal Slow Feeder comes with tube clamps and a simple latch system. The latch is not needed for the fence application; it is used to ‘close’ the feeder when used on a wall.
$99.95 with Full Feed Net (2-4 flakes)
$114.95 with Day Feed Net (3-6 flakes)
$64.95 feeder only (no net)
