The HayBox Solar Powered Automatic Feeder

from $895.00

Introducing an automatic feeder that may just improve the quality of life for both you and your horses & animals. Feed them any time of day or night. The HayBox is a great tool for those who can’t be at the barn for the midday feed, or those who want to add an extra feed in the late evening.

The HayBox is a single-serve feeder that automatically drops up to 10 pounds of hay at any time of day that you choose. Drop the hay into one of our slow-feed nets, or if you prefer, drop feed into a bin or onto the ground.

Turn 2 feeds into 4! Fill the HayBox when you feed breakfast. HayBox will deliver your midday feed at the time of your choosing. Then, fill it again when you feed dinner, and HayBox will deliver a late-night feed. The HayBox can be programmed for multiple feedings. Our personal horses currently get a 7am feed, 11am auto-feed, 3pm feed and 10pm auto-feed. This product was designed for busy boarding facilities looking to reduce labour costs and horse owners who want their horses to be eating throughout the day.

Tested in Canada to -20 degrees Celsius, the HayBox is solar-powered and can also be plugged into an electrical outlet. Important note: to operate as a solar-powered unit, the feeder must be located in direct sunlight. In our test scenarios, we have had success with as little as 2-3 hours of direct sunlight. Please ensure that you have the correct spot for this unit, or, that you have power available to plug it in.

We are currently taking orders for this product. Please email us PRIOR to purchasing to find out details.

The HayBox is approximately 23”wide x 13”deep × 16”tall, and is available with or without a built-in hay net.

The HayBox Auto Feeder by HayPal: $895
with 60” hay net: $960.95

This is the HayPal HayBox in action!

In this video, we have pressed the manual override to show the action of the feeder. This system has been successfully delivering hay to this mare every night at 10pm, providing the extra feed that she needs, post-laminitis. It is an absolute lifesaver for both human and horse. The HayBox is available with or without a hay net. It can be used for a variety of feeds, including hay, cubes, and other types of forage.

If you’re wondering why it’s called the ‘Feed Box’, it was an earlier idea for a name.
