This may seem like a bit of a silly ‘testimonial’, but Jandy is our primary product tester, and if a new product survives the force of this strong draft cross mare, we feel confident that it is worth bringing to market. Jandy is in her late 20’s and came to us from the SPCA in 2017. She is the alpha mare in our herd and the main ride in our therapeutic riding program. This amazing mare has introduced the love of horses to dozens of kids and families in our area.
The idea of HayPal launched in 2017 when we arrived at Mission Creek Ranch in Kelowna, BC, and discovered the value of using hay nets to feed horses. The challenge, though, was that staff were filling three hay nets every day for each horse on the property. With 30-50 horses on the property at any time, this was a time-consuming process. We started to get creative about finding ways to simplify the use of hay nets, and over the past few years have worked our way through the many stages of product development, kicked out ideas that weren’t quite right, embraced the wish list of our horse community, and have ended up with a solid line of hay nets, feeders and fillers that are built to last. Our primary materials are aluminum, stainless steel, plastics and 100% polyester netting and thread. We test everything on our community of horses in Kelowna, BC, and trust the input of our experienced colleagues from across all horse disciplines.
